Sam Dougherty served in the United States Marine Corps and has dedicated his life to leadership, ministry, and helping others discover purpose through meaningful work and faith. An author, speaker, and workforce development professional, Sam brings decades of experience in manufacturing, engineering, management, and organizational leadership.

Today, Sam serves as the Michigan State Representative for a national veteran service organization, working alongside Michigan’s Building Trades, employers, workforce partners, and veteran organizations to connect veterans and transitioning service members with life-changing career opportunities through registered apprenticeships. Whether speaking, writing, mentoring, or serving in ministry, Sam’s passion is to encourage people, strengthen communities, and point others toward a life of purpose, integrity, and faith.
